Job Description
As a Welder, you will assist in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality side dump trailers and feeding systems while developing your welding skills in a supportive manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to build a career in welding. You will work alongside experienced team members, learning industry best practices while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with welding, fitting, and fabricating metal components using MIG, arc, gas, and other welding equipment
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete assigned projects
- Grind, clean, fit, and prepare materials for welding and assembly
- Lay out, position, and secure parts using appropriate tools and measuring equipment
- Follow safety procedures, maintain equipment, and support production goals while performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass an in-house welding test
- Basic blueprint reading and measuring skills required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn welding and fabrication techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, and walking
