Job Description
An established metal stamping manufacturer in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Repair Technician to join its first-shift team. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive dies and tooling used in production operations. You will work with precision equipment to ensure tooling performs safely and efficiently while minimizing production downtime. Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair progressive dies and tooling used in metal stamping operations.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble tooling to maintain production quality.
- Operate grinders, lathes, mills, and other tool room equipment to perform precision repairs and modifications.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and accurately document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with press operators and engineering personnel to resolve tooling issues and minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of tool and die repair experience in a metal stamping environment.
- Proficiency with tool room equipment, including grinders, mills, and lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading, shop math, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings.
