Job Description
playing a crucial role in the production of essential industrial products. As a Fabric Cutter, you will be responsible for interpreting orders, devising efficient cutting patterns, spreading fabric, and precision cutting by hand.
Responsibilities
- Order Interpretation: Review and interpret work orders to identify the correct fabrics and cutting patterns.
- Pattern Planning: Plan cutting layouts to maximize material usage while considering fabric type, patterns, and order details.
- Fabric Spreading: Spread fabric evenly and accurately, ensuring clean layers that meet quality standards before cutting.
- Marking: Measure and mark fabric precisely according to pattern and production requirements.
- Manual Cutting: Cut fabric by hand using appropriate tools, maintaining accuracy and preserving material quality.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures when handling fabric rolls and cutting equipment.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with team members to maintain workflow efficiency and complete orders on time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fabric Cutter or in a similar textile manufacturing role preferred; training available for motivated candidates.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow cutting instructions and patterns.
- Skilled in precise manual fabric cutting.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs independently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
