Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Precision Soldering Technician to join our electronics manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small, intricate components and takes pride in producing clean, reliable solder connections.
The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on experience with both through-hole and surface-mount soldering, small circuit boards, 32-gauge wire, and fiber optic cables.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision through-hole and surface-mount soldering on small circuit boards.
- Solder and connect 32-gauge wires, fiber optic cables, and other delicate components.
- Assemble electronic components according to engineering drawings, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
- Identify and correct soldering defects, damaged components, or connection issues.
- Use soldering irons, microscopes, hand tools, and other electronic assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow established quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production and quality goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Recent experience performing through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
- Experience working with small circuit boards and intricate electronic components.
- Hands-on experience with 32-gauge wire and fiber optic cables is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to inspect solder joints and troubleshoot basic soldering or assembly issues.
- Experience working in an electronics manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using microscopes or magnification equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic assembly quality standards.
- Experience performing rework or repair on small electronic assemblies.
- Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position, which is $19-$20.50 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
