Job Description:
Join our dynamic and innovative team as a Software Engineer, where you'll contribute to an engineering-driven organization focused on modernizing and expanding our technical capabilities. We are seeking a self-starter and collaborative team player with 3-5 years of Java backend experience, particularly with the Spring Framework and building RESTful APIs. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management and our engineering teams, including some based in Europe, to deliver cutting-edge, API-driven services and event-driven architecture, ensuring scalability and performance across our impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy scalable, reliable, and high-performance services, APIs, and integrations in collaboration with the Product Engineering team.
Write clean, maintainable code, ensuring safe and frequent production deployments.
Partner with engineering teams to translate business requirements into effective products and tools.
Design and implement full-stack product features, primarily focusing on backend systems while supporting frontend development as needed.
Actively participate in technical discussions, learning from senior team members.
Research and propose innovative solutions by staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
4+ years of hands-on backend Java development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Expertise in Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) and building RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with modern Lean Software Development practices, including pair programming, TDD, and Trunk Based Development.
Familiarity with CI/CD approaches and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to thrive in a remote team.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $95,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
