Job Description
A laminating manufacturing company in Greenville, SC is seeking a dependable Slitter Machine Operator to join their third-shift production team. This position operates Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.
The Slitter Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring slitting equipment used to cut laminated materials to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous machine operation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate slitter machines according to work orders, production schedules, and customer specifications.
- Load and unload rolls of laminated material safely and efficiently.
- Adjust blades, tension, speed, and alignment to ensure accurate cuts and quality finished rolls.
- Inspect materials for defects such as wrinkles, bubbles, delamination, uneven edges, or incorrect dimensions.
- Complete production paperwork, label finished products, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous machine operation experience required; slitter, laminating, converting, packaging, printing, plastics, or film manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work 3rd shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, measurements, and production specifications.
- Basic math and measurement skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
