Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Painter to join a manufacturing production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor paint line equipment to coat steel fittings and metal components according to quality standards. You will be responsible for preparing, painting, inspecting, and finishing parts to ensure they meet customer and company specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor paint line equipment to apply coatings to metal parts
- Prepare components for painting, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts
- Mix, apply, and maintain paint according to specifications and safety guidelines
- Inspect finished parts for quality, coverage, and defects; make necessary adjustments
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of paint line equipment and work areas
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial painting or manufacturing preferred (training available)
- Basic understanding of paint application and surface preparation techniques
- Ability to follow written instructions, safety procedures, and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

The base pay range for this position is $18.00–$22.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
