Job Description
A well-established, growth-oriented firm serving multiple Iowa communities is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/ accountant to join its team. With more than 100 years in business and a reputation for building long-term client relationships, this firm combines stability with a collaborative, team-focused culture. This role will support their small to mid-sized business clients with ongoing bookkeeping, payroll, and financial services while working in a professional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Generate and reconcile monthly financial statements
- Process payroll, payroll tax deposits, and related filings
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll forms including W-2s and 1099s
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure accurate financial data flow
What They’re Looking For
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience
- 1+ year of payroll processing experience
- Experience with general ledger entries and reconciliations
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field
