Job Description
Join a pallet manufacturing company as a Saw Operator and play a hands-on role in the production of precision metal parts. You’ll operate a range of saws, read layout drawings, and work in a safety-first environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate Manual band saws, cold cut, and circular saws
- Read and interpret job specs, blueprints, and work orders
- Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts
- Use overhead cranes to move and position metal stock
- Remove burrs and sharp edges from finished parts
- Communicate quality issues or discrepancies with supervisors
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One-year certificate from technical school or equivalent experience
- 3–6 months’ experience in saw operation or construction preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and operate measuring tools
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in a physical environment
