Job Description
As a Residential/Commercial Service Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both residential and commercial environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality service. You will interact directly with customers, diagnose electrical issues, and ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components, including wiring, conduits, outlets, and fixtures.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential and commercial settings
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs accurately
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs, solutions, and recommendations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
- Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School or GED
- 3+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work preferred
- Valid electrician license or certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Must have own basic tools
- Valid driver’s license
