Job Description
An established distribution operation in Graham, NC is seeking an experienced Order Picker / Reach Truck Operator to support daily warehouse and distribution activities.
In this role, you will operate powered industrial equipment to pick, replenish, receive, locate, and move inventory throughout the facility. You will use RF scanners and warehouse systems to complete assignments and ensure inventory is accurately transferred to the correct locations.
Candidates must have previous hands-on experience operating both an Order Picker and Reach Truck. This position is ideal for someone who is safety-conscious, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Order Picker and Reach Truck equipment throughout the facility
- Retrieve assigned tasks and inventory locations using RF scanners and terminals
- Pick cases and products from designated warehouse locations
- Replenish picking locations and move inventory to assigned storage areas
- Receive and scan incoming pallets, cartons, and materials
- Accurately transfer inventory within the warehouse using RF equipment
- Move completed pallets to designated handling or shipping areas
- Ensure products are stored in the correct locations to maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow established forklift and powered industrial truck safety procedures
- Maintain awareness of pedestrians and other equipment operating in the facility
- Use proper lifting, pushing, pulling, and material-handling techniques
- Keep aisles, picking locations, and work areas clean and free of debris
- Report safety concerns or equipment issues to management immediately
- Wear all required personal protective equipment
- Perform general housekeeping and additional warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous Order Picker experience required
- Previous Reach Truck experience required
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred
- Forklift/lift truck certification or ability to meet required certification standards
- Experience using RF scanners or RF terminals preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
- Ability to read and write English
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, crouching, and climbing as required
- Must be available for occasional Saturday work based on scheduling needs
