Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will inspect precision-machined components to ensure they meet customer and engineering specifications. This is a hands-on inspection role in a CNC manufacturing environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect precision-machined components to ensure they meet engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements.
- Perform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauge blocks, optical comparators, profilometers, air gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Complete inspection reports and quality documentation using Excel.
- Conduct visual inspections of parts received from outside processing, including heat treating, plating, painting, coating, and nondestructive testing.
- Collaborate with production to maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Recent quality inspection experience in CNC or precision manufacturing
- GD&T experience is required
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and inspect tight-tolerance machined components
- Experience performing incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauge blocks, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment
- Experience completing inspection reports using Excel
- Familiarity with AS9100 documentation preferred
- CMM operating experience preferred; ZEISS CALYPSO experience is a plus
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening

The base salary for this position is up to $25/hr. based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
