Job Description
An established distribution company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Lead to support its PM warehouse operation. In this role, you will lead quality inspections for fragile holiday merchandise, verify that customer orders meet accuracy and packaging standards, and help resolve product or shipment concerns. You will provide direction to warehouse associates, document quality issues, and work with operations leadership to maintain productivity and safety standards. This position is ideal for an organized professional who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily quality control activities and provide guidance to picking and packing associates.
- Inspect merchandise and completed orders for damage, missing parts, incorrect quantities, labeling errors, and packaging concerns.
- Verify order and product information using RF scanners and available warehouse systems.
- Document quality issues, report recurring concerns, and coordinate corrections with warehouse leadership.
- Monitor compliance with packing, handling, productivity, and safety procedures.
- Assist with associate training and reinforce proper quality standards and work processes.
- Maintain an organized quality control area and help prepare accurate shipments for carrier pickup.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous warehouse, order fulfillment, packing, or quality control experience.
- Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
- RF scanner experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking, quality documentation, and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide clear direction and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends during peak holiday periods.
