We are seeking reliable, mechanically inclined 2nd Shift Production Associates to join a growing precision manufacturing team in the Painesville area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to get into CNC machining and build a long-term career in skilled manufacturing.
You’ll start in a hands-on production role, learning the company’s processes, quality standards, blueprint reading, measuring equipment, and machine operations. Employees who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to learn will have the opportunity to be trained and developed into CNC machining roles.
Prior CNC experience is not required. We are looking for dependable people who are comfortable working with their hands, have solid math and mechanical skills, and are motivated to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on production and manufacturing tasks following blueprints, work instructions, and processing requirements
- Read and follow basic blueprints and instructions to produce parts correctly
- Perform basic quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, gauges, and micrometers
- Safely and accurately use hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Learn manufacturing equipment, machine operations, and production processes
- Maintain quality and production expectations
- Follow established safety procedures and work instructions
- Demonstrate the reliability, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail needed to progress into CNC training
Qualifications and Requirements
- Mechanically inclined with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Strong interest in learning CNC machining and developing new manufacturing skills
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints and work instructions
- Comfortable using or learning basic measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and availability to work second shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with hand tools or precision measuring equipment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness and ability to learn machine operation and new manufacturing processes
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
