Job Description:
A Small Parts Inspector is a quality assurance professional who examines miniature manufactured components. They use precision measuring tools and optical devices to ensure products meet strict engineering tolerances and to prevent defective items from reaching the next stage of production.
Responsibilities:
- Use micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and microscopes to verify the dimensions and structural integrity of miniature and nano-sized parts. [1, 2, 3]
- Handle miniature parts using tweezers and hand tools to inspect for scratches, burrs, or deviations from blueprints and quality standards
- Record inspection results, track defect percentages, and properly label items for acceptance or rejection
- Follow standard operating procedures to quarantine non-conforming products and report issues to production supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be able to use and read inspection gages, drop indicator, micrometers, etc.
- Individual will be assigned to manufacturing cell doing 100% inspection on machined parts.
- Position requires individual to be attentive and to stay at workstation.
- Position will require long periods of sitting while inspecting parts.
- Must have good attention to detail
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check

The base pay range for this position is $16-17 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
