Job Description
Join our client’s industrial manufacturing team in Reidsville, NC, as a Licensed Industrial Electrician I. In this role, you will design, install, program, troubleshoot, and continuously improve electrical and electronic control systems that support production operations. You will work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, safe installations, and high-performing automation systems. This position is ideal for a licensed electrical professional with strong PLC/HMI experience and a hands-on approach to supporting and integrating industrial machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in an industrial environment.
- Design, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems in partnership with engineering (PLC, HMI, and related automation platforms).
- Ensure all electrical work meets applicable safety codes, standards, and inspection requirements.
- Provide hands-on electrical and electronic technical support for production and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to improve system utilization, efficiency, and reliability through continuous improvement.
- Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop best practices and innovative solutions.
- Plan, schedule, design, and implement approved electrical and controls-related projects.
- Support start-up, installation, and integration of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Train maintenance staff on troubleshooting techniques and controls maintenance (including off-shift teams).
- Document equipment functionality, system updates, and process improvements.
- Serve as a technical resource and consultant on all electrical and electronic projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Licensed Electrical Contractor in the State of NC (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial electrical role with controls/automation experience.
- Strong background in industrial controls and programming (PLC/HMI systems).
- Proven experience installing and supporting industrial machinery and electrical systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical and electronic theory.
- Experience using diagnostic and testing tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of plant equipment, processes, and industrial environments.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
