Job Description
A leading Prevention & Counseling Services organization is seeking a Medicaid Billing Specialist who will process and submit Medicaid claims, resolve billing issues, and ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided. Responsibilities:
- Submit and monitor Medicaid claims for accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Verify patient eligibility, coverage, and required authorizations.
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid balances.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations and billing guidelines.
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and payers to resolve billing issues.
- Process claims corrections, appeals, and resubmissions as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One to two years of Medicaid billing experience within substance abuse counseling services setting.
- Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.
