Job Description
The Reserves Network in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to join our client’s team and support daily production operations. This is a great immediate temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with prior machine operation experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with early morning start times. In this role, you will support machine crew operations while helping drive efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and uptime goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support the machine crew’s daily production activities
- Monitor machine and crew performance related to waste, efficiency, quality, and uptime objectives
- Operate equipment safely and follow all machine safety guidelines
- Perform physical job duties in a warehouse production environment
- Maintain an organized work area and contribute to team productivity
- Assist with lifting and handling oversized sheets and boxes as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior machine operation experience required
- Must be team-oriented, organized, and detail-focused
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day as needed
- Must be able to repeatedly lift oversized sheets and boxes from chest to ground level
- Must be able to read and understand a tape measure using imperial units of measure
- Must have basic math skills, including fractions
- Must be able to wear protective equipment for extended periods, including gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, goggles, steel-toed shoes, face masks, and earplugs
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled for up to 12 hours
