Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator who will support operational activities related to the transport of biological specimens, reports, and supplies. Responsibilities will include tracking specimens from the point of pickup through delivery. The position will act as a liaison between both external and internal partners. Job assignments will be managed without immediate supervision and are evaluated based on performance. Individuals must be able to perform each essential core function as well as monitor and maintain the department service levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, experience and ability necessary to perform this job.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently enhance daily logistics operations by streamlining workflows, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures to support quality service delivery.
- Oversee and maintain logistics reporting, including updating protocols, scorecards, and internal systems (such as LSL networks), while generating daily transit transaction reports.
- Monitor, track, and troubleshoot specimen transit efficiently, proactively addressing issues to ensure seamless delivery and compliance with service levels that align with customer and operational goals.
- Evaluate vendor and courier performance through data collection and trending, providing constructive feedback and recommending actionable process improvements to optimize logistics effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with customers across multiple levels, executing service strategies and programs focused on problem resolution and continuous operational enhancement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college education preferred, alongside at least two years of experience in a service-related field; all candidates must successfully pass background and drug screenings.
- Proficient computer skills are essential, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, complemented by preferred knowledge of shipping logistics and familiarity with UPS and FedEx networks and services.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly prioritize tasks, adapt to shifting demands, and meet tight deadlines, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and organizational success, with a capacity to develop a thorough understanding of company products and services for effective handling of inbound and outbound communications.
- Physical requirements include the ability to work scheduled shifts (including evenings and weekends), stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $31,200, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
