Job Description
A utility company in Brandenburg, Kentucky, is seeking a new team member for their Operator Department. This position will involve repairing and servicing water breaks, reading meters, and handling work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Trained for success with performing a variety of tasks with maintenance and operations of water distribution systems
- Learn the proper tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks
- Participate in installation, repairs, and replacements
- Read meters and do field investigations
- Routine maintenance such as flushing systems, valve exercising, and fire hydrant maintenance
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Customer service etiquette, as working in the community is a large part of this job
- Willing to be trained
- Live within 30 miles of Brandenburg, KY
- Prior experience in the water distribution industry is a plus
- Prior maintenance experience with electrical components is required
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening
