Job Description
Team1Medical is teaming up with an accredited podiatry clinic and is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist who will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage for new patients and referrals, as well as updating information for existing patients. Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance information for new patients and referrals.
- Update insurance information for existing patients.
- Call or email to obtain pre-authorization for recommended services and procedures.
- Explain to new and existing patients what their financial responsibilities will be.
- Inform relevant clinical staff about denials.
- Answer questions related to billing and insurance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Two 2 years of experience as an Insurance Verification Specialist in a physician's office and clinic is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Essential knowledge of CPT codes and basic medical terminology is highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication (written and verbal), time management, and organizational skills are a strong plus.
- Must have completed a High School Diploma or GED.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
