Job Description
We are seeking a customer-focused Human Resources Assistant for our Ben Taub Hospital location. The Human Resources Assistant supports various departments in the HR Organization, providing administrative support to the functions and activities of the HR department in order to assist the department with the execution of the overall people strategies in order to attract, onboard, develop, and retain a highly effective workforce. Works in partnership with other members within the department, as assigned, to support the successful design and launch of HR related programming, as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee HR inquiries via phone, email, portal, and in-person support
- Answer busy phones at the front desk reception area
- Meet and greet all visitors to the hospital reception area.
- Serves as the primary contact for general inquiries received in the department.
- Direct callers and visitors to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Administrative Support: Provides administrative assistance to HR leaders, including tasks related to departmental operations and special projects.
- Document Maintenance: Maintains internal forms, templates, documents, and communication materials to support relevant programs and projects.
- Assists in coordinating timelines for programs and projects critical to the department's success.
- Additional Duties: Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service, human resources, or administrative related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
