Job Description
A growing food service operation is seeking an experienced Food Production Manager to oversee daily operations across catering, commissary, and fresh food production services. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence by motivating employees, maintaining the highest food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all Health Department and Department of Agriculture regulations.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, confidently holds employees accountable, and is committed to developing a high-performing team. This position also oversees scheduling, administrative responsibilities, and daily operational communication while supporting the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and motivate production and food service employees to achieve daily operational goals.
- Maintain compliance with Health Department, Department of Agriculture, and company food safety standards.
- Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, uniforms, and workplace expectations.
- Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
- Utilize Google Drive to maintain records and operational documentation.
- Respond promptly to daily operational emails and company communications.
- Perform administrative duties, reporting, and basic mathematical calculations as needed.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality standards across daily operations.
- Foster a positive team culture while maintaining high expectations for performance and professionalism.
- Assist with implementing operational improvements and supporting company growth initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shift Lead, Supervisor, or Manager within food service, catering, commissary, food production, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Ability to enforce policies and maintain accountability in a professional manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, email, and basic computer applications.
- Comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Clean background required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to grow with a long-term, expanding organization.
