Job Description
An event services team is seeking an Event Setup Technician to assist with preparing and organizing spaces for an upcoming event at Fort Benning. In this hands-on role, you will set up tents, tables, chairs, trade show booths, signage, decorations, and event materials. This temporary three-day assignment is ideal for someone who is comfortable with physical work and can help maintain an organized, event-ready environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up tents, tables, and chairs to prepare event spaces.
- Assemble pipe and drape configurations for trade show booths.
- Hang signs, place decorations, and distribute event materials such as program books.
- Organize and arrange event elements to support a smooth event experience.
- Maintain assigned work areas throughout setup and event preparation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Access to Fort Benning is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of up to 8–10 hours.
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds from floor to shoulder height without assistance.
- Flexibility to work the required event schedule.

The base pay for this position is $20.00 and hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
