Position Summary: We are currently seeking a reliable and organized Customer Service/Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role leads day-to-day operational activities for inbound and outbound trucking. The ideal candidate will communicate directly with truck drivers, sales teams, and yard supervisors to ensure accurate and timely order processing—all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities: In addition to general duties at the customer service/shipping & receiving window:
• Communicate effectively with department supervisors, sales teams, and upper management via email and in person
• Manage the truck check-in screen and track order status updates
• Monitor and notify loading supervisors of any order changes or special requests from sales
• Coordinate with sales to prioritize orders, remove check-ins, or expedite shipments
• Process packing lists and delivery tickets accurately
• Ensure all outbound drivers properly sign out and provide photo documentation of loads
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist in ensuring safety standards are met
• Additional duties as assigned

QMS Compliance:
• Understand and follow procedures, work instructions, and company quality policy
Safety:
• Use required PPE at all times
• Report equipment issues or safety hazards to management and HSE
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment
Qualifications:
• Must be able to speak and read English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or customer service role preferred
• Ability to read and understand basic industry specifications, charts, and tables
• Basic computer skills; experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Able to work independently and take initiative
