Job Description
A family owned, growth-oriented Ag manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all financial activities and serve as a strategic partner to ownership. This role blends daily accounting operations with long-term planning, budgeting, and process improvement.
You will manage financial reporting, build and maintain internal controls, support future acquisitions, and lead a small accounting team. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-driven leader who enjoys both high-level analysis and rolled-up-sleeves execution.

Responsibilities
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure full compliance with accounting standards
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decisions
• Oversee AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and closing processes
• Strengthen cost accounting workflows to improve pricing, margins, and product-level insights
• Build and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and reduce risk
• Serve as the main point of contact for annual audits and external financial partners
• Provide financial guidance to leadership on capital planning, expansion, and operational efficiency
• Support and mentor accounting staff while driving continuous improvement
• Maintain ERP accuracy and collaborate with IT to enhance financial systems
• Assist ownership with special initiatives and evolving business priorities

Qualifications & Requirements
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required
• 5-10 years of senior level accounting experience, including 2-3+ years at the leadership level
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience with ERP-based accounting systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required
• 5-10 years of senior level accounting experience, including 2-3+ years at the leadership level
