Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Building Engineer to handle the daily operation of building maintenance. As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Responds to temperature complaints, Light bulb replacement, resetting breakers, equipment, Restroom repairs, Ceiling tile replacement, and operates mechanical equipment (i.e. chillers, pumps, cooling towers, EMS computer, fire alarm system, etc. C
- Completing the preventive maintenance task sheet, report any impending supply or materials shortages to the Lead Engineer, and advise the Lead Engineer of any equipment problems.
- General Maintenance includes painting and sweeping of mechanical and equipment rooms, maintaining lighting in mechanical rooms, equipment rooms, elevators, and service and public areas, maintaining order in the tool room and workshop, and recording electrical and water meter readings.
- Perform or oversee vendor maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7+ years in building maintenance
- Familiarity with centrifugal chillers/ chill water systems and HVAC pneumatic controls
- Previous experience in commercial property maintenance
- Must have a clear background, drug-free status, and clean driving record.

The base hourly range for this position is DOE an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
