A respected regional accounting firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide support during the upcoming busy season for two of their Nebraska locations that are short staffed. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with public accounting experience who can assist with tax preparation, financial statement work, and client engagements. The firm is flexible on structure and open to contract, remote work, or contract-to-permanent arrangements for the right candidate. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced professionals while supporting a diverse client base across multiple industries.

• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Assist with audit engagements and financial statement preparation
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships
• Assist with multiple client projects and deadlines during busy season

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• Public accounting experience preferred
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of tax preparation and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines

Compensation
• $33–$36/hr for non-CPA candidates
• $45–$60/hr for CPA candidates,
