Job Description
An established manufacturing company is seeking a Set-Up Technician to support daily production and equipment set-up operations. In this role, you will assist the Lead Set-Up Technician with die installations, troubleshooting, material movement, equipment inspections, and production line operations. You will also perform quality inspections, maintain accurate production records, and ensure customer specifications are met. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who values safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with die set-ups, bottom knife flips and installations, equipment troubleshooting, line inspections, lubrication, and other production line set-up activities.
- Operate production equipment while completing pre-run and in-process inspections to ensure products meet work order and customer specifications.
- Coordinate material movement, including arbor coils and finished skids, and work with Material Handlers to support proper material storage.
- Maintain accurate work orders, inspection sheets, material and move tags, coil information, part quantities, and labor reporting.
- Follow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certification required.
- Knowledge of applicable ISO procedures and work instructions for production operations.
- Knowledge and ability to set up and operate High Speed (HS) and/or General Fab (GF) expander equipment, with the ability to demonstrate competency through applicable equipment assessments.
- Ability to identify material types and gauges and use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Must be able to perform required product measurements, including thickness and applicable dimensional specifications.

The base pay range for this position is $19 – $21, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
