Job Description
The commercial furniture Installer delivers, assembles, installs, and reconfigures office furniture at customer locations. Responsibilities include reading installation layouts, safely using hand and power tools, and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install office furniture, including desks, cubicles, workstations, conference tables, filing systems, shelving, and seating.
- Load, unload, transport, and stage furniture for installation at customer sites.
- Read floor plans, installation drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate furniture placement.
- Safely operate hand and power tools during assembly and installation.
- Inspect furniture for quality and report any damage or discrepancies.
- Make adjustments and minor modifications to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at customer locations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous furniture installation, carpentry, construction, moving, or assembly experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow installation drawings.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing throughout the workday.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
