Job Description
An established company in High Point, NC, is seeking an experienced 1st Shift Shipping Clerk to join its warehouse team. In this role, you will verify shipments, prepare shipping documentation, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure orders are properly packaged and labeled. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Forklift experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Verify shipment contents against invoices, manifests, and orders to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, work orders, and shipping orders.
- Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipment.
- Record shipment details, track inventory, and document damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain shipping supplies and keep warehouse work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of prior shipping clerk experience.
- Ability to read a measuring tape and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
