Job Description
An established manufacturing company in Mentor, OH, is seeking dependable General Production Workers to join its first-shift production team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with operating manufacturing equipment, preparing materials, inspecting products, and packaging finished goods. Employees receive on-the-job training and may be cross-trained in different departments based on their skills and experience. This is an excellent opportunity to develop manufacturing skills while working toward long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate or assist with production equipment, including presses, cutting tools, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Measure, cut, prepare, and handle materials according to production requirements.
- Inspect products for quality, identify defects, and ensure finished goods meet production standards.
- Package, label, stack, and move finished products and materials to designated areas.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain an organized work area, and participate in cross-training opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or shop experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure is highly preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to complete required pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome. Bilingual communication, translators, and support from bilingual employees are available.

The base pay range for this position is $20.50 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
