Job Description
NOV is seeking a dependable and adaptable Blaster/Steam Cleaner/Paint Assistant to support operations at its Lindsay, Oklahoma facility. This position is responsible for preparing, blasting, steam-cleaning, painting and coating products while assisting with general shop duties as needed. The ideal candidate is punctual, willing to learn, comfortable working in hot or cold environments and able to work effectively as part of a team. This position offers opportunities for cross-training in machining and welding based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare product surfaces through masking, sanding and visual inspection prior to painting, blasting or coating.
- Paint, blast and coat products according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Steam-clean products and properly clean work areas while ensuring appropriate waste disposal.
- Maintain productivity and workflow to support the timely delivery of materials.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned and comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist in other shop functions as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of blasting or shop helper experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
- Strong punctuality and attendance; must consistently report to work on time.
- Adaptable and willing to learn different jobs and responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in dirty or physically demanding conditions as needed.
- Willing and able to work in hot and/or cold environments.
- Team player with a strong willingness to assist others.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Occasional forklift operation may be required depending on business needs.
- Must be willing to participate in cross-training opportunities, including machining and welding as needed.

The base pay range for this position is $18.00–$21.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
