Job Description
The Roll Compressor Operator operates machinery that compresses and sleeves foam rolls for shipping or storage. This role involves operating a roll compressor, using a forklift to move materials, completing product inventory and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position requires physical work, attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout. No previous experience is required, and training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the roll compressor to compress and sleeve foam rolls for shipping or storage.
- Safely operate a forklift to move and stack empty and full roll carts.
- Load film correctly, perform minor machine maintenance and remove film pieces from the machine.
- Complete inventory, production reports and label tracking before the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, count and understand measurements and fractions.
- Ability to learn and operate machinery in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and handle repetitive job duties.
- Must be willing and able to wear safety glasses while working in the plant.

The base salary range for this position is $18-19 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
