Job Description
We are currently hiring a Machine Operator for our client, a leading Custom Foam Fabrication production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to support high-speed foam production. If you have experience with production machinery and a sharp eye for quality, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and adjust equipment based on job specifications
- Load materials into the machines for production runs
- Monitor quality throughout the machinery, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Identify and correct defects or mechanical issues during runs
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience as a machine operator
- Ability to interpret work orders, and specifications
- Basic Math Skills, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to convert fractions and decimals, read a ruler in increments of 1/16’ and .06”.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
