CNC Swiss Machinist | $27-$32/hr. based on experience | 1st & 2nd Shift

We are seeking experienced CNC Swiss Machinists for a precision manufacturing company in Mentor, Ohio. Candidates with hands-on Swiss machining experience are encouraged to apply, with particular interest in machinists experienced with Citizen Swiss equipment. This role requires strong setup, offset, tooling, blueprint, and inspection skills in a tight-tolerance machining environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss machining equipment
- Operate Citizen Swiss machines, including L32 and L20 equipment
- Make tooling changes and machine offsets as needed
- Set longitudinal and diameter offsets
- Perform bar-feed changeovers
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Monitor part quality and make adjustments as needed
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Troubleshoot machining or tooling issues
- Perform program edits and complete setups when qualified
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous CNC Swiss machining experience required
- Citizen Swiss experience highly preferred
- Experience with Citizen L32 and/or L20 machines is a strong plus
- Mitsubishi control experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances
- Knowledge of tool offsets, tool changes, and insert nomenclature
- Experience with bar feeders and Swiss machine changeovers
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and related inspection equipment
- Setup and program-editing experience is a plus
- Reliable attendance and availability for first or second shift
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is $27-$32/hr. based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
