City of College Station is looking for a Customer Service Clerk on a contract basis. The role will have various responsibilities including. Providing timely and accurate over-the-phone and in person assistance to utility customers regarding questions and concerns
Responsibilities:
- Assist with providing customers with accurate billing for electric, water, sewer, sanitation, roadway maintenance and drainage services.
- Provide support for a variety of tasks related to processing payments, balancing cash drawers, making credit and debit adjustments, and making payment arrangements.
- Provide support for data entry of customer data and billing information.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
- Possess intermediate level computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry, as well as the ability to quickly learn software related to department functions
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to compose and prepare correspondence and documents
- Well organized with the ability to complete work with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle a large volume of work under minimal supervision
- Possess basic data entry and 10-key skills.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with peers, superiors, and the general public
- Previous experience in data entry or technical based customer service.
