Job Description
The Materials Lead is a hands-on role responsible for supporting receiving, shipping, materials kitting, and warehouse operations. This position works directly alongside the team to ensure materials are moved accurately and efficiently to support production schedules and customer deliveries. The Materials Lead helps coordinate daily priorities, troubleshoot issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure operational standards are followed. This role also provides guidance and support to team members while working closely with the Materials Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, document, and put away incoming materials while verifying shipments against purchase orders
- Pick, pack, stage, and coordinate outbound shipments while maintaining accurate shipping documentation
- Build material kits according to production schedules and bills of materials (BOMs), identifying and communicating shortages
- Move, store, and handle materials while supporting cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory
- Help coordinate daily team priorities, provide training and support, and lead by example on the warehouse floor
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of warehouse or materials experience
- ERP system experience
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Manufacturing experience and familiarity with Lean/5S preferred
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and operate forklifts/material handling equipment

The base salary range for this position is $25-28 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
