Job Description
An established manufacturer is seeking an Assembler for a long-term temporary opportunity with the possibility of temp-to-hire. You will assemble manufactured and purchased parts into mechanical, electrical, or combination subassemblies and finished products while following blueprints and production specifications. New hires will train on 1st shift until they can work independently before transitioning to the 2nd shift schedule. This position offers the opportunity to develop additional assembly skills and advance within the operation.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions to assemble products according to required specifications.
- Assemble manufactured and purchased components into subassemblies or complete products using assembly presses, rivet machines, power tools, and other provided equipment.
- Inspect first-piece and subsequent assemblies to ensure products meet established quality requirements.
- Maintain simple production, quality, and safety reports while keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Follow established safety procedures, machine operating requirements, and machine-guarding rules.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, routings, work orders, and production instructions.
- Ability to operate assembly equipment such as rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools; required tools are provided.
- Ability to frequently stand, sit, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Sufficient reading and writing skills to follow work instructions and complete simple production reports.
- Sufficient visual acuity, with correction if needed, to read instructions, operate equipment, and inspect parts.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to safely and properly operate assembly equipment.
- Must be able to train on 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, until qualified to work independently.
- Must be able to transition to 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM, after training.
- Must be able to work required overtime once eligible following successful completion of the probationary period and conversion to permanent employment.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

The base pay range for this position is $20.82 – $21.82 an hour excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
