Job Description
A well-established specialty vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Installer to install interior and exterior components and hardware in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position uses hand, pneumatic, and power tools while following engineering drawings, measurements, safety procedures, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently to meet production goals. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering consistent weekday hours and the potential for long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
- Install non-electrical interior and exterior components, parts, and hardware according to production specifications
- Read and follow engineering drawings, layouts, measurements, and written or verbal work instructions
- Safely operate drills, screw guns, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and other production equipment
- Complete assigned work within established quality, safety, and production standards
- Follow workplace safety, housekeeping, hazardous-material handling, and quality-control procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts
- Ability to accurately use linear and other measuring devices and perform basic math
- Experience safely using hand, pneumatic, and power tools
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand at a workstation for up to 10-hour shifts and work from bending, kneeling, squatting, or overhead positions
- Ability to safely work from ladders or scaffolding when required
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may include heat, elevated noise, dust, fumes, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment
- Ability to follow required PPE, OSHA/EPA, hazardous-material, and workplace safety procedures
- Must be available for overtime based on business needs, including possible mandatory Friday overtime
