Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Westlake, Ohio. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience with CNC machine set-ups, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment to maximize production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines by loading programs, selecting tooling, and configuring machine parameters
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Monitor machining operations and make tooling or program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain accurate production documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years of CNC Set-Up and machining experience
- Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience operating CNC machines and working with G-Code and CNC controls
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Computer proficiency and ability to maintain production records
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, run multiple machines, and work independently
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

The base salary range for this position is $25-30/hour excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
