We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing team in the Painesville area. This position is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on precision-machined metal components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a machining or manufacturing environment and be comfortable using precision measuring equipment, visual inspection tools, and magnification devices.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined metal components
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to specifications
- Utilize measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools
- Perform detailed visual inspections using magnification equipment and microscopes when required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection criteria
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify and report nonconforming products
- Assist with packaging and verification of completed parts as required
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred
- Experience inspecting precision-machined components strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
- Comfortable performing microscope and magnified visual inspections
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
