Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Turret Punch Press Operator to perform progressive machining on a diversified line of close-tolerance work requiring a varying degree of skill and machining techniques. Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts. Ability to set up, adjust, and operate a Turret Punch Press.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual turret punch press machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Load, position, and secure sheet metal materials onto machines.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and machine settings.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate production.
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or production issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience operating turret punch presses or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications.
- Able to read a ruler, micrometer, and caliper.
