Job Description
This position will spend approximately 80% of time supporting accounting functions and 20% supporting payroll and benefits-related activities. Responsibilities include managing intercompany accounting transactions, restricted fund accounting, cost allocations, capital asset accounting, sponsorship arrangements, financial reporting support, and payroll-related journal entries. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with finance, payroll, HR, and executive leadership teams while helping manage complex allocation and restriction structures across multiple legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage intercompany accounting activities across multiple entities
• Support restricted fund accounting, including temporary, permanent, and unrestricted funds
• Prepare and maintain allocation methodologies and related reporting
• Assist with sponsorship arrangements and related financial processes
• Support capital asset accounting and financial reporting activities
• Process payroll-related accounting entries and support benefits administration
• Support restricted fund accounting, including temporary, permanent, and unrestricted funds

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience required
• Nonprofit accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and multi-entity environments
• Experience with restricted fund accounting preferred
• Experience with Blackbaud NXT or multiple ERP systems strongly preferred
• Foundation & grant accounting experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience required
