Job Description
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, banking activities, and accounting functions across multiple business entities. This position combines accounting responsibilities with cash management and financial reporting, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their accounting experience beyond traditional month-end activities. This is a 3 month contract to hire, evaluation opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily cash activity, banking transactions, and account reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries within the general ledger
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities
- Support multi-entity accounting operations
- Maintain documentation and reporting for lending and banking relationships
- Collaborate with accounting leadership on process improvements and financial analysis

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1-3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Understanding of month-end close processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Dynamics GP software preferred
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, cash management, or banking functions is a plus
