Job Description
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. This position will serve as the primary quality leader for the facility, partnering closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and strengthen overall product quality. This role offers a blend of hands-on quality engineering and leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges while mentoring others and leading impactful projects across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all quality-related activities across manufacturing operations while maintaining and improving quality systems and processes.
- Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions related to product, process, supplier, and customer quality concerns.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and operational improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, standards, and documentation to support manufacturing excellence.
- Monitor key quality metrics and utilize data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and other quality methodologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support new product introductions, process validations, and engineering change activities from a quality perspective.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or quality management roles.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality assurance principles.
- Experience leading root cause analysis investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead projects, influence cross-functional teams, and drive results in a manufacturing environment.
