Job Description
The maintenance mechanic ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Responsibilities:
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Troubleshoots production issues to eliminate downtime and makes repairs in a timely manner to meet production needs- Maintain records of maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Maintain an established comprehensive P.M. schedule on assigned equipment.
- Assist in equipment rebuilding activities and engineering projects.
- Perform timely equipment change-over as required by the production schedule.
- Assist operators on equipment set-up to ensure proper operation.
- Able to respond to situations where shifting priorities are common and difficult conditions happen.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and plumbing schematics
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and industrial control circuits
- Welding and metal fabrication experience
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 100+ pounds and climbing ladders/stairs regularly

The base salary range for this position is $25-28 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
