Job Description:
Our client, a leading precision manufacturing company serving high-profile industrial customers, is seeking a skilled Quality Technician to support quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with customer requirements and ISO 9001:2015 standards. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for a quality professional looking to grow with an innovative organization focused on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have experience with quality systems, blueprint reading, GD&T, inspection processes, and root cause analysis within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
- Perform in-process, first-piece, receiving, source, and final inspections.
- Prepare and review Work-In-Process (WIP) inspection reports and audit documentation.
- Conduct first-piece approvals and authorize production to proceed following inspection requirements.
- Maintain Material Review Board (MRB) areas and manage nonconforming material processes.
- Generate and maintain Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs), corrective actions, and 8D reports.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Assist with PPAP, ISIR, FAI layouts, control plans, FMEA documentation, and Gage R&R studies.
- Operate quality inspection equipment including CMMs, Faro Arms, laser scanning systems, and other metrology tools.
- Perform calibration activities and maintain gauge records using calibration software.
- Collect and enter Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and support capability studies.
- Conduct internal quality audits under the direction of the lead auditor.
- Support production teams with blueprint interpretation, gauging, and quality-related problem solving.
- Maintain inspection records, logs, and quality documentation.
- Train operators and junior quality personnel on inspection methods, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.
- Promote a strong quality culture and collaborate effectively with production teams.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering role.
- Previous manufacturing quality experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of SPC methodologies and data analysis.
- Experience with PPAP submissions, FMEA, Control Plans, and Gage R&R.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action investigations.
- Experience operating CMMs, Faro Arms, laser scanning systems, or similar inspection equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, CAD software, and SPC software.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as:
- Stamping
- Laser Cutting
- CNC Punch Operations
- Press Brake Forming
- Welding

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
