Job Description
This role oversees daily shipping and warehouse operations, ensuring materials are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. The position manages a team of warehouse employees, coordinates with sales, logistics, and quality teams, and maintains safety, productivity, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment. Ideal candidates have prior shipping or warehouse leadership experience, preferably within PVF, manufacturing, or industrial distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shipping and warehouse operations
- Manage picking, packing, loading, and outbound shipments
- Supervise and support a team of 7–10 warehouse employees
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and quality control teams
- Prioritize workloads and manage daily operational flow
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and dock operations
- Train employees on processes, procedures, and safety standards
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce workplace safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
- Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3+ years of PVF, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial distribution experience
- Prior shipping or warehouse supervisory/leadership experience
- Ability to lead and organize a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience working with logistics, sales, and quality teams
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and operate warehouse equipment as needed
- English fluency required; bilingual Spanish preferred
