Job Description
In this position, you will work as an electrician helper supporting electrical installation, wiring, conduit, troubleshooting and repair projects. You will strip insulation from wire ends, attach wires to terminals, trace short circuits, measure, cut and bend conduit, examine electrical units for loose connections and tighten connections while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Strip insulation from wire ends and attach wires to terminals
- Trace short circuits and assist with troubleshooting electrical issues
- Measure, cut and bend conduit, including Rigid, IMC and EMT conduit
- Pull and terminate wiring to electrical devices
- Examine electrical units for loose connections and tighten connections as needed
- Assist with fire alarm and telecom wiring projects
- Follow established safety and quality assurance standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1+ years of prior electrician helper experience
- Ability to bend and install conduit, including Rigid, IMC and EMT, with minimal supervision
- Ability to pull and terminate wiring to electrical devices
- Experience with fire alarm and telecom wiring
- Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependability and strong attention to safety
- Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
